How to get there

Use the search bar in the top nav (it's on every page) or the big search on the home page.

01

Search by number

Look up a patent, publication, or application from one box. It detects the identifier type for you and autocompletes as you type.

02

Open advanced search

Click the + beside the search box to open advanced search: keywords, fields, citations, and filters in one structured query.

03

Combine keywords, fields, and filters

Build a structured query: keywords across Title, Abstract, Claims, or Spec, plus patent citations and assignee / inventor / date filters (over grants, publications, and articles).

04

Let Ursa build the search

Tell Ursa your goal in plain language; it proposes keywords, assignee/inventor filters, dates, search types, and fields before running anything.

05

Review, edit, and set the date range

Retry, edit the prompt, or adjust the fields and the from / through dates, then run the search from the form.

06

Read the results

Scan result cards with snippets and citations; patents, publications, and articles are clearly distinguished.

07

Search within results, sort, and filter

Narrow a result set, order by relevance or date, and filter down to what matters.

08

Run a bulk identifier search

Paste a mixed list of patent, publication, and application numbers and look them all up: all, grants, publications, or applications.

Start now

Open a patent and start working from the record.
