Add an external tool server
In Open WebUI, as an admin, open Settings, Admin, Integrations, External Tool Servers. Add a connection of type MCP (Streamable HTTP) with the endpoint https://www.patentbear.com/mcp.
Use OAuth 2.1
Set Auth to OAuth 2.1. Open WebUI registers itself with Patent Bear, so there is no client ID to paste.
Each person signs in once
Each user connects Patent Bear from the Integrations menu in a chat, signs in with their own Patent Bear account, and clicks Authorize. Their runs and saved work land in their own Library.
Other clients
LibreChat, Cursor, and any MCP client work with an API key from Library, Plan. Your model and your documents stay on your hardware; only the numbers, queries, and passages you send reach Patent Bear. Full setup for each is on the Connect page.
